Hi, when i installed the new axle (left) its not any space between the axle and centerpin, is that bad or will it fix itself after some time? Its with LSD. The right side has maybe 0,15 inch play when i try to pull it out. The C-clip was like new.

Do you mean 0.150" or 0.015"? If it's 150 thousands, I would say you have worn clutch packs on that side, or it's the wrong axle. If there is that much play in the axle, it will reek havoc with the brake caliper. JMHO

Okay, drums give you a lot more leeway. I wouldn't worry about .5 mm. I'd be more concerned about the tight side. Just make sure it's not compressing the clutch pack and you should be good to go.

How could i tell if it compressing the clutch pack? How hot shoul a axle be when driving? After driving 18 miles yesterday it was maybe 45 celsius, is that much or ok? If one side is tighter than the other, wouldnt that only make the other side "do the work"? I was more concern about the centerpin.

When you replaced the center pin, did it just slide in or did you have to force it? I don't think 45*C is excessive. That's only gear friction. I think normal operating temp after a long hard run is about 75*C.

I had to use a rubber hammer and force it in, i didnt have to punch hard, but it didnt slide in. But i had to force it out when the old axle was in and it was a lot of space between the old axle and centerpin. There isnt any bad sound and it is much more silent with the new bearings so i hope its ok.
