Cv haft drive shaft

Default Cv haft drive shaft

I have a 04 with 4.0 and 242t-case. The cv end was shot so I rebuilt it and now 1.5months later it shot and bearing ***** gave fallen out the from of the unit where the boot connects. I have a 2.5" lift is this the wrong drive shaft ? I have no vibs at all.

I'd suggest replacing the entire half shaft. Much easier than rebuilding, and possibly a limited life time warranty.

Replace the shaft with a u joint style shaft.

It's covered for one year against failure they sent me one out and the guy said he has never seen one this bad.
