hello everybody
been away for awhile and sold the old xj since times were hard.......

my son dropped me a new jeep he couldn't get running
So I dropped 200 bucks on rock auto (they have great service and fast delivery)

its running and been driving it and finding little things to fix on it so now I have to figure out what direction I want to go with this toy

here's the specs

I-6
42re trans (need transducer solenoid
242 t case (needs chain)
half the stuff does not work that well But runs really good

 

Even a free Jeep is expensive.

 

ya i know thats why its a curse lol

plan on most of the stuff i'll do will be made instead if bought

plans so far
4 to 6 inch lift springs
upper lower control arms made
chassis stiffeners and such

plan on making bumpers too

 

A guy who works for me gave me a 96 XJ that he didn't want any more.

"Needs a rear brake line and front u-joints and it's good to go."

Several months and almost $2000ish later I still have yet to drive it further than around the block. lol

 

the last jeep i got for free cost me around 2000 and when i drove it the first time i figured out why it was free DEATH WOBBLE lol

then redid the whole front end

let it sit for 8 months and sold.it for 1000. bucks
that was 8 years ago

hope this isn't gonna be that bad
