ABS engaging when turning left
Hi All:
My wife has a 98 Grand Cherokee AWD and is having problems with the brakes. When turning left and applying the brake the ABS seems to engage making it harder to stop. There are no warning lights on at all and do work. I unplugged the ABS and the light came on.
I have replaced both front rotors and brakes and wheel sensors and the problem still persists. I have checked the wheel hubs and they appear to be fine. No noise or play in them. The ring on the back of the hubs look fine.
Does anyone have any ideas on where else to look. Visually everything appears to be fine.
Thank You all in advance.. John

check your rear sensors. I had this type of problem and one of the rear sensors was a litle out of position after one of the brake band was loose and moved it.

Rakkasan... No ABS light. If I disconnect the unit then the light will come on. Yes the ABS is kicking in when braking and turning left.
Pwb... I will check the rear sensors and see if that's the problem.
If it was throwing a code I could have a place to start troubleshooting. Thank you for your advice.
