Have you checked the rear flip up glass switch?
It's separate from the lift-gate hatch switch, it's actually part of the flip up glass latch.

Check every door also. Sometimes if door is not shut properly or the door switch is bad or misaligned it will keep those lights on also. My kids don't always completely shut one of the doors and I have to figure out which one.
But they are correct there is a switch for the light on the hatch or cargo bay lift door. If that is not shut fully the light will stay on. GC are known for have latch issues so hopefully it is shutting all of the way. And no my back window does not open, I have to open the whole hatch door.

On my ZJ and my WJ, the VIC will tell you which door is open. That is, IF IT WORKS! You may have a bad switch or one that doesn't disconnect or a pinched wire somewhere. I believe these switches form grounds and are hot all the time.
Well i changed both driver and passenger door jam switches i changed dash board headlight switch i even changed the courtesy light relay switch and the damn light still stays on i don't see a broken ground. Im at my wits end
