My 1995 Grand Cherokee computer says door is open when closed all the time. How do I fix?

Checked just about everything???

Might be a bad door switch? Not sure if Grand Cherokee's have the same type of door switches as XJ's do, but if you push it in with your finger does the light go off?

It does nothing when you push in the switch. I have bought a new one and it is not the right one. Been to every parts store and caNNOT FIND THE RIGHT ONE!!!

possible short in the accordian?
