School me on what transmission can be used in my '97
From the research I've done I'm pretty sure I can use and 93-98 ZJ trans correct?
The vehicle it's going in is a 4L Auto 4X4 '97 ZJ.
Any input would be helpful!

A lot of the '93's used the AW4 trans, and it uses a different TCM & harness so that's out.
The transmissions from 2WD ZJ's won't work because they have the long main shaft which prevents them from being able to be bolted to the transfer case.
The V8 versions won't work, because the bell housing mounting surface bolt pattern is different.
So then, you CAN use any '94 through '97 ZJ 4X4 4.0L automatic transmission in your '97 ZJ listed above.
