"Chuffing" sound as I drive...not engine rpm related
Lately I have been hearing a "chuffing" sound as I drive. It defiantly corresponds to the jeep speed, but not the engine RPM's. My buddy looked at the bearings and u-joints but has found nothing? What else could this be?
All my tires are filled up to proper PSI and my fluids are where they are supposed to be? Could this be the early signs of a failing axle bearing? how would I check that?
Thanks
