I just had my check engine light come on, a buddy of mine has a scan tool and says it's a P0122 TPS/ Pedal Position Sencor A Circuit low imput.. Any of you had this error and if so is their imediate danger of being stranded?
New to the Jeep thing I just bought my first Jeep 3 weeks ago. It's a 2002 GCL with 112,000 miles. It had a bad Key cylinder so I replaced it yesterday and now today I have this code I don't think one could be from the other do you?

 

no, wouldn't be related, tps seems to be a common problem on these, I believe they are cheap to replace, and only two screws hold it on.

 

If it's the TPS then i would not idle very well when in park and yes it is a common problem just replace it and it should fix your problem the sensor is not expensive and easy to install like the above post says

 

TPS would definitely be the common cause for this problem... My wheeling buddy have also encountered same exact issue...
