check engine light code for bad pcm?
I have a 97 JGC 6cy 4wheel
will my pcm throw a check engine light if its going bad or malfunctioning?
If it has codes, is it possible the PCM can malfunction with out throwing a code?

Yes, it will throw a code 53 or P0601 for an internal failure. It can cause a lot of problems because of bad sensor inputs without actually failing.
