Default cheap sensors, why do people buy them?

Hi, i have tried a bunch of cheap sensors. But they all (almost) fail and/or have wrong values than original sensors. Last my MAP sensor from STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS stopped working. I know that original parts are more expensive, but isnt good sensors a must to have a good working engine? So now i'm waiting on my MAP sensor from Mopar, costs a litle more, but i cant replace sensors every 2-3000km.

I've read a lot on these forums about aftermarket sensors or parts in general constantly failing.. often right outta the box. I suspect that's only because no one complains if they work as expected. I've replaced dozens of parts and sensors over the years with cheaper copycat parts and have never had one fail. Maybe i'm just on a lucky streak I think others are using them as well, but again just don't post about their "good experience". Good luck with your new map sensor

A lot of these sensors use the "Hall Effect" which uses a change in the magnetic field caused by motion of the whatever they are trying to sense. They use a printed circuit and a crystal that are critical in manufacture. I bought a top-of-the-line oil pressure sensor from Napa that was made in Mexico. It's working but only reads around 20 psi as normal. When it's bitter cold, it reads about 30 psi. Napa's price was $49.95. When the winter is over, I'm buying a Mopar sensor.

I also have an Air Bag light that goes on when I turn corners. I checked out the price of the clockspring at $300. Having had an airbag go off in my face once, I'm going to let a professional change it.
