Default Changing the bulb in the side repeater?

Can someone please tell me how you change this bulb? I had a look around and can't see an easy way into it. Don't want to start twisting it without knowing for sure!

Thanks

Thanks for the advice!

Managed to get it off (think i broke a clip!) and it turns out the seal around the actual orange part was loose and consequently corroded the bulb socket!

I'm going to buy a new one off an 02 WJ that has a connector on one end, but do I need to take off the wheel arch lining to get access to this are to disconnect it?

You can buy replacement clips pretty cheaply, google for the part number.

I'm not sure, I know on my ZJ I can unplug from the back of the light just under the hood.

Whenever I post a question, I always like to post the solution or description of the fix if it hasn't already been posted....so here goes!

When i pulled the indicator off i broke the clip so it was then loose when i pushed it back in. The clips are fixed to the light so can not be replaced. That didn't matter as when I inspected the bulb housing it was all corroded so needed replacing anyway.

I bought a used one on ebay for £7.

To replace, simply push in the wheel arch lining so that you can get a grip of it, then pull it out so that you can get your hands inside so you can unplug the connection of the repeater. Feed the new wire through the hole and connect.

I didn't do this, but I would suggest testing it at this point.

Push the orange light part back on so that you hear a 'click'. Push the wheel arch lining back in and that's it!

Total time 5 mins.

When I tested it it didn't work, but a quick tap and it was flashing away nicely!
