Car battery issue

Default Car battery issue

When idle at a light, I had my wipers and heat on and my battery gauge was decreasing, any ideas as to why?

Those items are drawing more power than the alternator is puting out at idle.

thats normal. means the regulator is doing its job

How much was it dropping? I dont believe mine ever dropped below 13 volt at a light with full load on, of course I have a optima battery also, so maybe helping a bit.
