Default a/c removal, need belt

i have a 93 GC with the 318 motor in it. the bearing in the a/c compressor is dying and making alot of noise. i want to just remove the compressor and bypass it since i never use it and the a/c has had a hole in it for a few years. how can i get a shorter belt to just put on there and remove the compressor? i went to napa and they only showed 1 part number for the belt and told me that i needed to buy a bypass pully. the diagram on the fan shroud shows that i can just run a shorter belt without the pully. they did not want to look up the part for a Ram with the same motor and no a/c because they werent sure if it would fit. does anyone know if i can do this? does anyone know the part number of the shorter belt?

thank you in advance.
