Hi Guys,

So yesterday I was driving to grab something to eat. When I stopped I noticed smoke was coming from the hood. Pulled to the nearest parking lot and popped the hood. There was power steering fluid every where and pretty much pouring to the ground. Closed the hood, took the jeep home.

Can the pump be serviced? Should I just replace it? What should I do?

They can probably be rebuilt but special tools are needed, and you'd have to find the parts.
Check the lines. The high pressure hose might have let go. JMO
If it's the pump I'd just get a new/rebuilt pump and be done with it. JMO

There seems to be two types of Power Steering pumps. One With speed proportional steering and one without. How do I know which one I have?

It's for a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 5.2L.

Also, where would be the best place to get one with the pulley and reservoir already attached?
