So I need to replace the brake line (steel line) that runs from the front of the Jeep to the rear ... does anyone know what size fittings and line I need to use???
Old fart with a wrench
I think that one is 3/16" with the standard double-flare fittings. On my ZJ, I used ready-made pipes from NAPA with a union in the middle, but on my WJ, I had my mechanic make a new one using the copper/nickle tube that doesn't rust. IBT you can buy that in ready-made now also.
Ask the guys at the parts counter at Advance Auto. KIDDING NEVER DO THAT
Always always bring the old ones and match them up at the counter. Even after this I had a know it all parts girl sell me japaneese fittings once and I threaded them into the master cylinder only to have them cross up and leak. Fortunately the right ones did work, I don't know how after being so abused.
