A 3/4" screw, I believe, typically takes a 15/16" socket. Not always the case, but usually.
If you Google something to the effect of "threaded fastener standards," you should be able to get a list of standard wrench sizes for various nominal fastener sizes - not a "hard-and-fast" reference (there are "heavy heads" and "reduced heads" out there,) but it fits a good 85-90% of what you're going to run into.
