I have what I believe is a common problem with an electrical connection to the blower motor/controller on my 2000 WJ (see connection at bottom right in photo).
I have tugged, pulled, pushed, squeezed, levered, biased and otherwise abused, what looks like a plug connection - all without success. Can anyone advise how I remove this connection in order to effect a repair?
(not sure that the photo has attached - oh well)

Thanks for the link to the repair instructions.
I have opted for soldering directly to the pins on the PCB as my solution. I had no option really, by the time I had extricated what remains of the plug from the controller. Others taking this route should be aware that it is not possible to make a mechanical fixing of the wires before soldering (there is not enough room between the pins) – and therefore the connection is relying on the solder alone. To minimize the risk of a short, should a solder joint fail, it is important to add a retained sleeve over each solder joint.

Having successfully completed the repair – one further piece of information in relation to this repair worth knowing, is that the electrical power to the Blower Controller is not switched via the ignition.
This appears to be a common arrangement on many modern cars – resulting in a battery drain, should a fault develop within a component within the vehicle’s electrics (which would otherwise have been isolated by the ignition switch).
