Default blinking dash board lights

Recently purchased a 96 Grand Cherokee, the issues that I've found is that when the headlights are turned the dashboard lights seam to come and go and sometimes when the fog lights are on, they start to blink. Without tearing the dash apart whats the best way to correct these issues?

Look over all light wires look for wear and corrosion. Take apart all connectors and look good. Then move on to the dash. Fyi I would start at the dash but that's just me. I would also put diolectric grease in all connectors and rtv on the out side sense your already there. Could be over kill but you won't have a prob later. Ever

The headlight switch, or the dimmer switch, could be going bad or have a bad connection as stated earlier.
And Welcome to CF

I had flickering dashlights badly when I got my ZJ and I removed the switch, took the small screws out and pulled the guts out.. Basically just a housing around a electical board, nothing scary.. I used carb cleaner but I think brake cleaner would work good too or some electrical cleaner. Make sure you get in the slide for the dimmer good and blow it all out and dry with air.. Reassemble and reinstall, worked great for me!! 80 bucks for new or 25 at a salvage yard.. saved me some money..

it is easy. remove trims by pulling them out. they wont break unless weather is too cold.. remove screws which holds gauge bezel at top of it. then remove screw at side of dash close to door, 4 screws at bottom of dash, 2 on midlle part and gently pull it back to you. it wont break too. then you can remove dimmer assembly.

i got similar problem with dash, lights are blinking over bumps so i will do suggested cleaning.
