Thinkin about doing 4.5" coils in the front and front to rear in the back and was wondering about shocks. I want to go with 5150s but don't know what lengths, travel I'd need or any of the valving info. Has anyone ran this setup or something similar or have any info that would help? Thanks in advance!

I actually just installed those shocks this weekend on my ZJ with 3.5" lift

I got them from Iron Rock. I bought the ones designed for a 4" lift because I plan on getting there 4.5" coils. They have MORE then enough travel to work with a 4.5" lift. At the same time they have the shocks for ZJs with 4.5s but the 4" shocks are just fine.

Wait... sorry... Just noticed your looking at 5150s, mine are 5125s. Either way, Great shocks so far!

You need to measure for shocks. If you call up a supplier and simply tell them your lift height, more times than not you will end up with shocks that aren't long enough/too long. Depending on how much you've trimmed and bumpstopped...

Measure and buy accordingly. I ordered 5125's from IRO for a 4" lift ( measured before and after, and researched average distance from axle center to fender). The shocks were way too long and I would bottom out the shocks on speed bumps. I would also second guess 5150's. I bought some for my old ZJ and it broke at the top just going over a bridge. Found out it was a common problem when I posted about it on the local Wheeler forum
