Battery drain.
1994 ZJ 5.2
Battery drains down after 2 days.
Battery and alternator checked out fine at local repair shop. I’m not showing any parasitic draw when I use my multimeter in line. No lights are being left on. Cables are tight in battery terminals. What am I missing?
When an alternator check is done , does that check the diodes?

You must have some sort of a drain or the battery wouldn't discharge in 2 days. Try disconnecting the ground cable, wait a few minutes, then reconnect it watching it closely. If you see a spark, there's a draw. The computer and radio memory will pull a tiny bit, but you'll probably not see that tiny spark in daylight. If you do, disconnect and quickly try again. The capacitors should retain their charge long enough to eliminate them as the cause of the spark.
My XJ sits for weeks at a time, yet fires up like I just shut it off. I did have a mysterious draw I couldn't find, but then the whole rear harness went up in smoke! There are no connectors back there anymore, just butt connectors.

2 days is pretty quick to kill a battery. Either a bad battery or parasitic drain. Try a different ammeter. Oh and make sure you use the meter right, that it works (check wit a 9v battery) on the 10A scale. Have to plug the + lead into the 10A hole too.
