Trying to figure out what battery/ cca I need for my 98 5.2 v8 jeep Cherokee

What is in there now? Just put the same. Most people leave that up to the place where you purchase the replacement battery.

I just got the jeep, battery tht was in it was junk wouldn't take a charge, person told me it wasn't right size for it anyways so just trying to figure it out

Group size 34, 800 CCA is OEM spec.

walmart battery. I kid you not. best buy.

The best battery I ever had was a Willard. I'd never heard of them until I bought a Chevy truck with one in it. When it crapped out on me one winter, I went to Battery World and they replaced it with a Delco. The guy told me that Willard was 7 years old! In my opinion, don't buy a sealed battery, rather one that you can check the electrolyte levels.

I jjust paid $105 for one after doing my due diligence at walmart..made by EverStart...800 crank amps and 3 year 100% free replacement prorated after that.
I will say it cranks that 4.0 xj right over with NO issues ..can let it sit for days, left the lights on, etc.
