bad driveshaft? or pinion bearing?
i have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee limited with quadratrac. before i lifted the jeep 4" i would go over the crest of a hill and the front end would humm. after the lift the front end did it all the time. so i climbed underneath it and took the driveshaft out. i noticed the cv joint that hooks into the transfer case was shot. is this going to be the problem? or is it going to be the pinion bearing? it hums on load and on coast. but never did any of this before lift so i am hoping it is just the cv joint on the driveshaft.
