Engine: 4.0 in line 6
Default Automatic Transmission Shifting
1998 Cherokee Sport, 4.0, 4 speed automatic. Will not shift into 4th gear. I Changed trans filter and fluid. I used DEX/MERC fluid. Help!

you need to use ATF+4 not dex/merc

but I doubt that is the reason, most likely an electrical issue
