I just rebuilt my enigine(v8 4.7 limited) and can't figure out where the ground wire from the pcm goes. The pcm is located on the firewall on the passenger side of the engine bay. Its black and leads directly off the pcm. The manual doesnt have it. Could someone look at theirs if you dont mind and see where it goes. I would appreciate it alot. thanks

 

A ground wire shouldn't need a specific spot to go. As long as it's mounted to metal that would be connected to the rest of the body you should be fine.

 

It doesnt operate correctly when grounded on the engine. Ill try grounding it to the battery and see what happens.

 

It should ground on the engine, it really doesnt matter where it goes though, but the engine should be properly grounded. Make sure the ground has a good connection and not painted or too rusty. Also make sure the engine has a good ground from the engine to battery and engine to body.
