Extremely bad? Cause I can't see a thing when i back up in the dark. I just went about 3 feet up in my yard cause i couldn't see a thing. I find it slightly funy, my dad, not so much.

Anyways what do you think of the zj reverse lights?

Oh and I'm going to buy some cheapy lights from autozone and mount them under the bumper in the back now

I wonder how long you could keep them illuminated before melting your lenses?

Well remember, they're as bright as your stock headlights... That's pretty damn good for a back up bulb.

Wow... How long you planning on driving backwards???

I know they make a few different kinds, I was actually thinking of trying to find a way to use them as an underhood lamp... Be kinda nice for a map light too ya think? lol

reverse lights don't work well on any of my vehicles. I just figured it was to let someone else know you were backing up. I find if I need to see while backing up I keep my foot on the brake peddle and use the brake lights.
With this zj maybe they put the reverse lights in the front, as I can't see squat going forward at night either. Its so pathetic. Wish the big three would take light lessons from the european cars companies, or japanese.

I am going to mount a couple after markets on the rear bumper when I get it built. I have the same problem. Nothing 100w won't cure though.

HA, my XJ is the only rig I have ever owned aside from my 87 Chevette "high school car that was rolled" that worked, but they all do suck. Those look like a better deal rather then installing something that I will probably brake off under my bumper.

on my yj i have decent pair of 55 watters that i just mounted on top of the housing

granted, with ZJs and WJs we just dont have it that simple. but, all i REALLY use my back up lights for on my WJ is if im doing something at the back of my WJ at night...ill put the tranny in reverse, and the T-case in neutral and they actually do a decent job of lighting up what ever is behind the jeep...but they just dont seem to do as good of a job when im actually backing up..lol
