Hi there,

I have 98 Grand cherokee Laredo that I just bought. I noticed that the airbag light never comes on, not even during ignition. The seatbelt however always stays on. I read somewhere (not sure where) that the seatbelt light would take over from the airbag light, should the airbag light fail but I can't be certain about this.

I've checked all the fuses and they're fine. I haven't removed the cluster to change the bulbs just yet. I was wondering whether the seatbelt light taking over the airbag light is a possibility.

Anybody ever run into anything like this? I guess replacing the airbag light would be my best bet.
