Air Conditioner Leak Found, Now what?

Default Air Conditioner Leak Found, Now what?

Below is a picture of where my UV light has detected the dye leaking from my AC system. Its the little green puddle behind what I think is the compressor? What does this look like might be the problem and what next? I know I can always take it to a mechanic but I am a big do it yourselfer with my jeep. This is a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7 V8

Take it to a shop. For what you would spend on the proper tools to do the job a shop could fix it cheaper.

Plus when it comes to the AC system, its better for the pros to do it. The properly evacuTe the system, then vacuum then fill
