Front sway bar bushes and LH link bar bushes needs replacing on my 2013 Trailhawk.

Jeep service dept says whole sway bar and link have to be replaced $1,552 and $192 respectively.
Surely it can't be right that the whole bar not just bushes need replacing?
Odd that they went too cause hardly any off road to date.
Would think putting plastics instead of rubber would be good too?

Any advice much appreciated.
