AC not working properly
Hey all- I’m having issues with my AC in the 2018 Grand Cherokee Altitude. It has 41k miles, so still fairly new. It’s weird, so here’s my key points:
-AC only “turns on” with minimal blowing pressure randomly. It’s mostly when it is below 80 degrees. If higher, it will not turn on.
-When the AC works, it’s making a ticking noise. Sounds like it’s within the vent to me.
-Changing to Heat does not alter the problem.
-When it works, the air is indeed cold. But very little pressure when it’s set to High.
-Changing it to floor, or dash does not alter the problem.
I’ve seen a few ideas of what it could be, but I’d like some insight into what you all think. It’s hot out there! I appreciate it greatly!
