Greetings to all Members.
The air con in my G.Cherokee 2.7 CRD 2004 is not working
. I had it re-gased, but it did not help. The clutch is working and wheel is spinning. But no pressure. Someone told me that it could be a shaft inside broken. So, even when wheel is turning it still won’t work. Before changing the AC compressor, I want to make sure if any other components are OK. For example are the any fuses, relays or switches which AC compressor is dependent on? I will greatly appreciate any information on the matter from experienced members, before I spend lots of money for replacement compressor. These are hard to get and expensive. Cheers

Check the pressure again, if it's the same as the fill up then yes it's the compressor. But if you're losing refrigerant it could be a bad condenser, shotty lines, etc.
Thanks. I found used compressor for £ 215 and waiting arrival. There are so many types fitted in Grand Cherokees, hard to get the right one. I hope this one will be good. Cheers
. So, most likely the shaft broke inside. New compressor, then.... ?
