Hey everyone, I have a 99 grand Cherokee. Last summer the wife's a/c stopped working so I took it to the shop they did a draw down and a sniff test on the system and added die and recharged the system. It lasted 2 days and it was gone, so I delt with it until now. So you would think evp coil, so I went to the wrecking yard cut the lines off that go to the evp coil capped one and put a gauge and a air stem on the other I put 80 psi in it, has held pressure for 3 days now, it drops about 5 pounds at night and and back to 80 in the day, I don't see any green die anywhere. I am lost

Maybe your leak is someplace else. Look for oily residue around the couplers and hoses.

Wouldn't there be die or just oil.

Could be both, definitely dye if there is any in the system.
