"sorry it is a 94 not a 98"
so the girlfriend just bought this jeep , the problem is when she starts it up cold it will die, or putter and die..it has also died while idling i have been looking it up and i am thinking it is either the pcm connection or maybe fuel ejector? i could be way off but i took this video of the codes that popped up by doing the key trick. does anyone know what these codes represent?

Its deff. a ZJ i have a 94 with the exact same odometer and guage cluster? But anyways my 94 did the exact same thing after i got it started for the first time. Tps was making bad connection so i put some di-electric grease on it and it ran for like 10 seconds instead of 5 secs. Next i found the breather hoses coming from my head were clogged up so i replaced both breathers and well-ahh it ran like a top. Hope that helps

On the V8 it's on the passenger side valve cover, and has the pcv valve in it.

It gets fresh, filtered air from the line at the front. The air is then mixed with any fumes/blow-by that have been drawn up through the engines passages into the valve cover, and is pulled out through the rear line, which is connected to manifold vacuum.
If the lines are plugged/disconnected, or the inside of the valve cover becomes clogged with sludge, this will prevent the system from operating as designed. As a test, you can remove the hose from the front fitting to verify suction at the fitting. If no suction is present, remove rear hose and test for vacuum from the hose. In no vacuum there, trace hose and test until fault is found.
If no vacuum is found at the front, but vacuum is present at the rear, sludge build-up inside valve cover is indicated. Remove and clean.

so yesterday i took the jeep up to mt hood, it drove perfect, only time it ever acted up was idling at a red light... no issues other then when it idled, this is about a 1 1/2 to 2hr drive depending on traffic got there got rained out turned on the jeep and drove home. so why would it only do it while in idle?
