Default 98 cherokee courtesy light help please.

My 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee the courtesy lights are staying on so I replaced all the door ajar switches the trunk latch and the rear glass flipper and all the switches on that a new wiper motor and it seem to fix my problem but then the courtesy light came back on and I cannot get it to turn off I've checked all the door ajar switches they are good the courtesy lamp relay is good everything on the hatch is good I tore the ignition apart and checked it it is good when you turn the key back into the accessory position the courtesy light goes off when you turn the key to the on position the courtesy lights turn off but when you turn the key to the off position and remove it and get out and shut the doors the courtesy lights stay on I do not believe it is the BCM because when you have the key turned back on the accessory switch the lights will go out automatically after so long can you please help

Welcome to CF!

The courtesy lights should time-out after about 2 minutes. You're saying they're not? With the key in and turned on, they should time-out almost immediately after you close the door, right? Do they stay off with the dashlight dimmer all the way down?

Sorry it took so long to respond but my account was screwed up. I am voice texting this so there is going to be no punctuation. My interior lights were staying on after I took the key out of the ignition and lock the doors. I have since replaced all door sensors all rear hatch sensors and latches I have replace the rear wiper motor and they are still staying on when you take the key out of the ignition and lock the doors. The dome lights work properly like they should when the key is on the on position and the accessory position they will timeout like they are supposed to. And my radio resets the time every time I shut my Jeep off it will lose the time and reset it every time I turn the vehicle off. Thank you for your help
