97 zj vehicle info display question!

97 zj vehicle info display question!
So this is my first zj and I was reading the manual and it says the information display will show what mode of 4x4 the transfer case is in. I have never seen mine do that, it's a 97 zj orvis with the 5.2 v8 if that matters. Please help!

If you have full time 4WD it won't display your 4WD mode unless you go in to 4LO...I have a '94 Laredo V8 with full time 4WD and I was curious about two weeks ago and took the display out of the dash to look at it and it only lights up in 4LO for me.
But I would guess that if you have a 2WD option it should light up in both 4HI and 4LO
