Exclamation 97 zj trans leak

I'm sorry if this is a repeat subject, if so please let me know.My trans has a significant leak, at first I thought it was the trans pan but after crawling under and following the fluid, it looks like it's leaking from the seal where the linkage goes into the trans. I've found threads about changing it but nothing on a Zj, has anyone done it before, can it be done with some help, or should I take it to the shop (rather not). If I do attempt this, along with the filter, is there anything else I should change while I'm there or anything else I should consider. any info suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks
