I have an automatic 97 Laredo and sometimes when I hit the gas, the rear of the truck shudders for a few seconds. I have no idea what it is, anyone have an idea?
Thank You

I hate to say this, but have your tranny checked out. My 97 had the same trouble at anything but a soft peddle start and I found out my forward clutch was shot! It would act fine once it was rolling, but was a ***** on takeoff. It almost felt like the tires were chattering on the pavement, so I thought it was the diff or something.

sounds more like the drivetrain, spec. your driveshaft, bad U joints, bearings, gears, it could be anything.
post a video or be a little more specific, it'll help us out alot!

No reason to jump right to tranny, check the driveshaft. It don't take much to cause something like this. My buddy was convinced his trans was out because once he would hit around 25 there was a loud banging/rapping sound that would get worse as he acceletared and pound in the floor.
had fishing line on the driveshaft LOL

Is the rear diff. a posi trac? Most posi's reguire a friction modifier additive thats available from dealer or Napa stores and its required every so often to help the clutchs release, gives the same symtoms you describe. Chevokeeman.
