You sound knowledgeable about jeeps. Well yesterday my jeep died on me. I was on my way to go hunting and weird things started happening. First my radio was powering off and on, which was a first, then gauges and dash panel got dim and was starting to go off and on , then the dome light came on, and then it just died. After it died, I went to crank it and the started just clicks...????Any suggestion where to start.

Sounds like your alternator or battery died on you. More than like the alternator stopped charging and when the battery started to die all your electronics went haywire. Take them both in to be tested.

I kind of thought that may be it, but the dome lite coming on is what puzzled me; I guess it lost all power and then a little power came back on and it was just reacting like when you get in the car the light comes on...

clean your battery terminals and make sure there tight the sma ething happened to me

sounds like an alternator or loose corroded ground wire.

In the spectrum of things this is usually not an involved or expensive problem.

Search "check" or test alternator. As well as all your grounds.

Low voltage will cause strange things to happen and play hell with the body computer. It does sound like the alternator is dead and caused the battery to discharge way bellow the needed voltage to stay running.
