Okay, so problem #2 of my new Cherokee.

We bought it on the weekend and the VIC unit wasn't working, blank screen - haven't seen it turn on or anything.
My Dad had checked fuses under the bonnet and down near the footwell - all good, but I read somewhere that theres another fuse box in the drivers door somewhere? (Haven't really had a look as I've been at College and we've been trying to figure out the other problems)
Or is there any other reasons that could've stopped it from working? (we haven't looked at the wires in the back of it yet, but that will be our next job)

I have however noticed sub-wiring coming out of the centre console so perhaps whomever did that could've caught a wire or purposely unplugged it. (Which is what I'm hoping for) Though I've also read they are quite common in breaking, after all the cars around 20 years old.

If it is to be broken, is there anywhere that sells new/second hand VIC units? I'm located in Brisbane, Australia.

Thanks for all the help. :-)

It was probably unplugged purposely because it alway had a low coolant message staring at the previous driver. Very common for bogus warnings for low coolant.

That's what we're hoping for, we'll investigate this weekend. Hopefully it was unplugged purposely.

Please change your signature box to say "97 Grand Cherokee" so we'll know what we're dealing with. It helps a lot.

I'm not sure what that is or how to change it. I'm on the mobile app too, that might be why. Sorry, new to this whole thing.
