you tried arching the wire from the coil to the side of the block?, seems to me if your coil has power and signaled ground but doesn't have spark it's bad, and the other option would be a bad distributor cap and rotor

Engine: 4.0 with all of the noise and clatter
Put a 12volt test light probe on the negitive primary wire for the coil and the clip on the positive battery post, then crank the engine over, the light should flash. If it is flashing and you still have no spark it could be a bad coil.
