hello I have 96 Cherokee sport with the 4.0 it runs great going down the road but as soon as I let off the gas the tach drops and it dies. It does not do it all the time and sometimes it almost does. Any help would be appreciated.

That's fine. You may get an answer here as well. Because of it's age, I just thought there might be something specific to XJs that we wouldn't know.
