** 96 Grand Cherokee front driveshaft..
So I have a 96 grand cherokee orvis edition, I hate to revist this topic but Ive seen several answers.
I believe this things has the NV249 t-case and Im wondering if taking out the front drive shaft will help with mileage and ease of steering? Because this think is full time 4wd right?
Also different topic but is this a dana 35 or 44 on the rear axel? should be a 35 right?
Again sorry to revist topics but any advice would be great!

If its the 318 V8 you have the D44a. If its the 4.0 I6 you have the 35. I have had my front drive shaft removed for 3 years now roughly. Haven't really noticed a gain in mpg. I broke mine and never put the newer one on. I don't notice a difference in steering either.
