Default 95 zj idling and shifting problem

Would a bad tps or a bad iac motor would cause my jeep to run rich? because im running super rich and my idle in park is like 2k rpm and on the high way ill be going about 55 and im trying to get it to go to 60 and i have to step on the gas hard the let off and try it again and then the rpms will finally jump and ill accelerate. also when i start it and drive will go through first gear but on second the jeep sometimes will rev really high until i let off the gas then it will shift. i was thinking it was the trans but now its looking more like a tps problem. ive tried the kickdown cable adjustment and it never ratched back out it stayed stuck in so i had to set it where it used to be. i also cleaned the iac motor. some one help

also there is no check engine light or codes. its a 95 zj 4.0

Check for vacuum leaks for the high idle, could also be a stuck IAC motor. The TPS wont really cause an idle problem. Try and adjust the throttle pressure (kick down) cable for the sluggish accel problem. Do a search on this site for the proper proceedure.

I've tried to do the kickdown cable adjustment about 3 times. It says its supposed to ratchet back out it never does. I have it out for a test drive and I have to reset it where it was before I tried the adjustment because it wouldn't even shift out of 1st gear.
