i have a 95 zj that i got cheap cause it was vandalized. the ignition was busted so i took the one out of my 98 parts zj. it starts but stalls right away and even faster if i touch the throttle. the lights are flashing so im thinking the security system is causeing my problems. does anyone know if i change the door locks so i can use the 98 key if it will shut down the security when i unlock the passenger door, like most other chryslers.

It's just a switch that clips to the lock cylinder, I don't think changing the cylinder it self will hurt anything.

Since its a 95, it should not be stolen again right?
Bypass the alarm. Purple wire with a yellow trace in the drivers kick panel.

If they want it bad enough they will find a way to take it no matter what type of alarm or detourent there may be.

no your right just saying what we get most of the time. so i just tried this purple wire thing never even grounded it out and i turned the key and it started. the 5.2 with no cat or muffler in a small garage sounds pretty badass all most as good as my mustang with open headers.
