my 94 zj did the same thing even after inspecting each one and having someone brake and signal, everything worked but still flashed lamp failure....found out that the bulbs i bought from local parts store worked fine but didnt have exact factory bulb that seats differently...i think the bulbs from most store are b922 and jeep are b921 or vice versa....been awhile since i made the swape out.....hope this points you in the right direction.

I just fixed this on a ZJ... you need to make sure each bulb is the model number that came from the factory. I just went to Auto Zone and bought all new bulbs and swapped them in.

Dont forget the third brake light.

my 95 zj does the same thing. what solves my problem is i just put it in 4lo and take it about out (249 transfercase) and it stops the warning.

sometimes in the linkage between the floor there is a brass switch that ground to change the lever position....sometime this gets greasy, muddy ect and does make a good connection...start small....then check wiring condition by removing in console....usually pretty straight forward....hope this helps....

Ok here is what happen to me..

if u pull the tailamp case off u will see a little marker light up on the top by the brake light.. it is VERY SMALL and u will never know it is there if u don't pull the tail lamp off..

those bulbs burn out and wont work and that tosses the code.

do yourself a favor EVERYONE.. instead of just looking at them with the light assembly on pull them down 9takes 2 minutes) and pull EVERY bulb out and make sure they are working

do 95's have 3???

my 94 only has 2... Regardless my suggestion is to pull back ALL of the lights and actually look at EACH bulb indiviually to make sure they are all good
