Default 95 Cherokee

I test drove a 95 Cherokee with 207K, but it's in really nice shape. The only thing I am concerned about is when 4wd is engaged and I turn right and left more than 45 degrees. The owner said clunking is normal for Jeeps like that because the system runs on a vacuum. The clunking doesn't make noise when going straight, just when tuning. Is this normal for this vehicle?

I would check the front axle joints. If the cv boots are tore they are bad.

Not vacuum operated on a 95. You could be hearing a bad ujoint from the front axle or from the front and rear driveshafts.
