94 zj trans problems(NEED HELP)

it was running fine then it slipped out of gear wwile it was still in drive,i shut it off in nuetreal for a few minutes and start it back up and get to about 3000rpm and only maket about 50 feet or so,and shut it down and do it all over again...i looked everywher and cat find anything i cant be the only one with this problem,any help would be apprciated..thanks

Have you checked the fluid level?
