94 ZJ BB Questions
I have a 1994 GC Limited and over the next few weeks I plan to install a new transmission, as mine recently went out, and a 2 3/4" BB that I had custom made for me by a buddy of mine in town. Now the only question I really have is with installing a BB of this size will I need to replace any other parts or will stock everything still work while running this lift? The whole purpose of the BB lift is to be able to run 31's with little to no rubbing. Any advise helps!

You'll need longer shocks and may want to look into adjustable track bars for the front and rear. Remember that the tires will move closer to the rear of the wheel opening in the front and closer to the front of the wheel opening in the rear when you lift the vehicle without longer lower control arms.

Ok so I need to look into purchasing longer shocks, is there a specific brand you would recommend or will any brand of shock be ok with a BB? What brand of adjustable track bar would you recommend and where can I find one?

I have a 2" bb and still running all stock parts including shocks and have 33's trimmed fenders and no rubbing...ran 31's on no lift and no trimming, never rubbed on the fenders just rubbed on the lca at full lock(need less backspaced wheels).
Few pics for referance.
31's NO trimming and only rubbed on lca at FULL lock, barely affected turning at all.
31's trimmed and bumper removed.
33's NO lift and trimmed fenders and correct backspaced wheels...only rubs on fender when flexed a little, with correct bumpstops it wouldn't rub at all.
And as she sits now with 33's trimmed and a 2" budget boost($55 on ebay).

Edit: I just re-read the original post, and he said he had a 2 3/4" budget boost...that extra 3/4's of an inch may be about or over the limit of the stock shocks length.

Haha obviously the tire size doesn't affect the shocks...Bustedback stated he'd need longer shocks...so i was just stating i have a 2" bb and still have stock shocks.

The extra 3/4 of an inch and hardly any droop is why I recommended longer shocks. I had a Teraflex 2" spacer lift on my ZJ when I got it and it had stock shocks. It did ok, but I removed the lift to cure my death wobble.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Kyle 4X4 4Life, your ZJ looks awesome, I would love to trim my fenders one day but for now I don't plan on wheeling my ZJ too seriously I would just like the lift to make it a little easier getting through the snow and such here in Missouri. If you guys think that my stock shocks will work for just cruising around that would be great and give me a little time to save up money for everything else I would like to eventually do to my ZJ, including new shocks and a larger lift.
