Default 94 ZJ AWD lift question

I have a 94 zj limited with a 4.0. I had read somewhere that you cannot lift these things because of the awd transfer case. I was considering a 3.5 inch coil lift. Does anybody have any insight on this? It has 158k on it right now, has been maintained nicely and drives really well.

not true, the lift just fine.

Let me rephrase, its the AWD ones that have a CV style drive shaft, NOT like yours with CV style front axles.

not all of them have the cv driveshaft. it pretty much depended on how the assembler was feeling that day. that said, if you plan on lifting your ZJ and you do have the cv driveshaft, its a good idea to swap it to the u joint style.
