Default 94 zj ?

May be trading for a 94 zj v-8 4x4 with 152k miles on it. From the pictures I've seen it looks to be in good shape. So ...when I check this thing out , what should I look at thats know to be common problems?

Thanks for any help

What engine does it have? I have a 95 with the 5.2l and 46rh trans and it is still running strong at 250,000+.

Ok, I would still check the trans and transfer case but it should be a lot better. Also, look for any custom fixes.

Definitely check the TC by doing very tight figure 8's. If you hear the wheels hopping it means your Viscous Coupler is out in the TC, very common if someone hasn't swapped the TC yet.

Check the CV joints in the front axle, it's easier to find out now if you need to replace them before they blow up at the least opportune moment.

Very good advise. Also look for oil leaks and rust.

What tranny do you use? I have the 46rh and have not replaced it with 250,000+ miles.

I usually go to the junkyard and pull anything out that looks good. I'm pretty positive there's an ATF+4 in it right now.
